Anxiety can affect us in different ways. You may have heard of some of the types of anxiety such as, social anxiety, social phobia, agoraphobia. These are common types of anxiety disorders but these terms are too broad. This means is can be very difficult to find out ways to overcome what really affects you.
Blushing and excessive sweating are linked to anxiety, more often social anxiety but it could just be the fear of going or their excessive sweating that is causing their anxiety. By dealing with that fear alone could be all it takes to overcome your anxiety, rather than trying to figure out how to overcome anxiety using broad social anxiety methods
Let's take blushing as the example for this technique that can rid you of whatever anxiety you have. People that suffer from blushing usually see their anxiety as something bad or think that anyone that see's them blushing will either dislike them or have a negative opinion of them. This is common traits of anxiety. The truth is no one will think how you feel they will. Everybody is to wrapped in themselves to take much notice of your anxiety. Let's say you saw someone in the supermarket with stains down their clothes, you might stare at them for a few seconds but no sooner did you notice you forgot about them and went on with your own business.
To really overcome your anxiety you can do it by using the technique or flooding. By flooding yourself with your fear or anxiety you will quickly overcome it. This is by no means an easy technique but it is very affective. Next time you find yourself feeling your fear or anxiety I want you to draw massive attention to it.
Let's take the blushing for example next time you blush draw massive attention to yourself by letting everyone know you've gone bright red. Walk up to people you don't even know and tell them "Look I've gone bright red". I know this sounds pretty scary to do but if you do it you will realise that no body actually cares. You may even notice that some people will become attracted to you because of your bold confidence.
What this technique does is floods you with anxiety which will quickly surpass you'll also face all your fears and negative thoughts and see if you really do get any of the reactions you put through your mind when you previously worried about your anxiety.
